It had been in the lot for a while, and the 2019s were rolling in. The salesman and I did some negotiating over the phone but he wouldn’t budge so I said no thanks. A couple of weeks later he called me back and we did the deal. Just over $40k out the door.

I was offered $25k last year, this might be hard to pass up on.

Wonder if it's a regional things with dealers then and being able to haggle more. 43,500 for a new 2ss 1LE????? Here in Southwest FL you don't see very many deals on Camaros. Even in normal times the dealers don't stock very many and when they do they're fully loaded 2ss 1le or rag tops and pushing 55 grand. Tampa, Orlando seem to have better deals going on. But in SWFL the pricing isn't good. Even last Sept when I was shopping there was much better selection and much better deals up in the Tampa Orlando area. |

Damn! You would NEVER see that in Southwest FL. Never. They usually go for around 52k on up new around here. AND they usually sit on the lots for ages too. Same with the loaded up 2SSs down here. They get them pushing 50k and they don't move for months. |

I haven't tried Vroom yet, but KBB is saying my 16 Mustang GT premium with 51k miles is worth just over 30K now. When I last checked a little over a week ago, it said something like 24.5K. When I was about to trade it in almost 2 years ago, it was worth around 22k so this is crazy. One of the reasons I hadn't traded it in for a Challenger Scat Pack yet was I wanted better trade in equity. Now I have it, but the problem is I can't find a car on the lot exactly like I want. There are some that are close, but the discounts are not as good now. I had thought about ordering one, but they are saying 10-12 weeks or so. I'm also kind of thinking of waiting for the new Nissan Z, but it sounds like I would have to wait at least a year to get one without a markup. Plus I'm not sure about the front end look and they would not be as good of a daily driver. Still not bad for a single guy, but the Challenger would have more trunk space and room for passengers if ever needed. I'm still vaguely thinking of getting an SS, but really doubt it (for much of the same reasons I may be reluctant with the Z) unless a super deal emerged.

2021 1SS, 1LE, Crush, PDR and hash mark was 47285 MRSP. Got it to 40,661 once all said and done. Built 2/10/21, delivered 2/25/21. This was pure luck on my part. Contacted 10-12 dealers by email with exactly what I wanted. Two bothered to answer me in regards to anything I messaged.... Local smaller dealer came in a little under supplier pricing off the bat. So beatdown on some hold back, add in 937$ on the GM card, another $1k spiff on the GM card and the dealer had another non advertised loyalty rebate and since I had the 18 Equinox, it qualified me for another $1k. Anyone near NW IN, just message me and I can let u know who I dealt with if you want. |
