There are 2 different 6 piston brembos. SS 1LE is smaller than the ZL1/ ZL1 1LE. If these are for a ZL1 or ZL1 1LE, they won't fit the SS 1LE. Based on the shape they look like they're for an SS 1LE, but I'm confused due to the title saying ZL1.

I didn't know there's two different six piston Brembo calipers
The pads are from Essex and I've been through a few sets on my 2018 ZL1 1LE
I know they fit ZLE

FCP5030 is the Ferodo pad shape (on bottom) for the J6H / ZL1 caliper to get full coverage based on the different rotor / caliper. I've got the ZL1 1LE calipers is why I came into this thread thinking Ferodo has 3.12's now for that pad shape. The larger pad for the ZL1 rotor / caliper combo doesn't come in 3.12 compound, just DS2500 (H) and 1.11 (W). Not saying it won't work, but, you're missing out on pad area and volume coverage in a J6H / ZL1 car. Top pad shape pictured is for a J6M SS 1LE (and other vehicles, too).

I just bought these Ferodo (Brembo) pads that are a perfect fit with my SS 1LE front brakes (that is, not the brake upgrade kit for the SS), and they seem to fall somewhere between these two shapes. They have 2 vent grooves like your bottom pic, but their inner corners are tapered like those in your top pic.

One wonders why this has to be so convoluted...

171-1040 is the Delco PN for the OEM SS 1LE front pads while 171-1192 is for the Gen 6 ZL1. Don’t pay attention to the friction material grooves in the Ferodo pad shape. They don’t show the wear indicator tang either as that pic is for the Ferodo aftermarket friction materials. The stock SS 1LE pads are Ferodo HP1000 material as stamped on the backing plate top.

Thanks a lot for the confirmation

One quick question if you don't mind, what is the correct ACDelco part number for the SS 1LE rear pads, 171-0882 or 171-1127, or maybe neither? (The latter does seem to be the ZL1 P/N, but I have no information about the former or the correct P/N.)

Delco for rear of J6M SS 1LE is 171-1127 and 171-0882 for J6H ZL1.
