Looks like the strike situation is pretty grim with how UAW voted in Bowling Green.

I'm like a few others, sitting at 4300, but the dealer said it's marked for "immediate delivery." Hopefully that happens before middle September.

They always vote near unanimously to authorize the strike. It is how the union gives it's negotiators leverage. The do this every single time. Sometimes there is a strike, sometimes they settle. It really means nothing.

Yep. A strike is now authorized but the union reps and company management will continue to work until the minute of the end of the contract which is Sept 15th at midnight I think. If they hammer out a deal it goes back to the union for vote to ratify, and if they accept and it passes a new contract is enacted and the strike is averted.

GM seemingly treats the car better anyway. Covered transport and all. GM should spring for the same considering my 24 2SS vert (and other's) are built and baking in the sun waiting and waiting to be shipped. That's a legit beef, IMO.
Long, long before there were computers to move orders along there was nothing but phones and snail mail. And things got done. I know cause I custom ordered many new Chevys from 1970 to 1999.
Tired of manufacturer's excuses about this and that.

Well, Henry Ford managed to distribute millions of Model Ts from Dearborn MI across America at a time when even the telephone was primitive and mail was still delivered via horse and buggy in some remote towns in America.
