I'm not sure if what drive mode really dictates on which pipes they come out of.
Now I'm curious, something to add to the list for the next Dyno day

I think it might be an optical illusion. It almost looks to me like the outer tips were just polished more than the inner tips and it's causing the outer tips to show more dark/black sooner and therefore appear that they don't taper as far. When I look closely at the other angled shots, they look the same

It's pretty easy to see in everyone's videos that the outer tips are the "loud tips" so when the valve moves to make the car loud it shoots out those tips.

Snow/ Tour Mode = exhaust thru inner tips

Sport/ Track Mode = exhaust thru outer tips

In the manual under Driver Mode description.

If you look at EVERY Nurburgring mule, they're outer tips are covered in carbo and the inner tips are spotless lol.

Thanks a mill for the pics Ricardo! Gives me a hell of a lot better idea what to expect which is a bit scary for me as I just wanted an xpipe... Looking like cutting and clamping/welding are in order.

Knowing Borla and their R&D for the C7, it will be a 2.75' system. They found out that 3' actually hurts the car. Factory is 2.5 so increase to 2.75' is perfect. If you have the LT4, you want 3'.

They are done with the m6 and we the m6 folks are waiting for their A8 stuff to be done for no reason... I am sure they are either done and working out other business related stuff or pretty much finished. Big companies tend to wait till they have everything done to release their stuff :/

3" would be better for my goals though. That's why I asked.
