I made it very clear over the 3 months since my GM Retail Sold Order was placed that my family and I are seasoned automobile industry people. Frankly, my automobile industry background is why I felt obligated to give them the business in the first place. They were the only dealer with a SS in stock in November, and they allowed me a test drive. If it was our dealership, I would have been annoyed if a buyer put miles on our car, and then bought from someone else.

Regardless, they tried to bump me 2% as I was taking delivery of the car because my GM Conquest rebate was to expire on that date if I didn't sign the paperwork.

When I laughed and offered to come up a few hundred dollars to show flexibility and because I was actually impressed with the size of their brass balls for even trying, they stood up and literally walked away from the table and said "the deal is dead, we are closed for the day, go buy from someone else".

I'm still kind of impressed with their brass balls, but I refuse to play the role of a female dog.
All I will say at this time regarding the outcome is that I love my 2016 SS in my avatar.
I'm sorry... But what the actual ****????? They did THAT?!

What happened next?!

so let me see if anyone knows with 100% certainty about the start date of warranty. so far i had complained to the chevy customer service, they won't get involved. the dealer is telling me the date that i signed contract is when the warranty started even if i have to waited 8 weeks for my car to show up? does this sound right?

If customer service is turning a blind eye to this, I have no idea how you go about complaining to GM my "yes" comment was before he commented that he tried Chevy customer service. It's definitely a violation.

If they register the car a day or two early I don't see that as being a problem, but sometimes when They have a car on the lot for months at a time , they'll go ahead and punch it, then you're really out of warranty for months.

There are currently lawsuits going on this in the industry. Sometimes the mfr wants you to do it:

http://www.autonews.com/article/2016...ing-u.s.-sales

And sometimes some mfrs do not "roll them back".....

My warranty says it was activated 3/7/2016

I took delivery 3/23

Should I ask my dealer about this, or is just not worth the fuss??? 3/7 is the week my car was technically produced. Not sure if 14 days is a big deal.

Thanks!

14 days is not big deal but it was retailed "early" if you are not driving it...but its worth asking about it...

Looks like mine is way off. Months. I am supposed to pick up the car later today.

Just texted the salesman about the discrepancy.

Try 4.5 months. I may refuse the vehicle.
