Automatic DRL Relay Harness

I came across this automatic DRL or fog light harness with a very easy power connection that doesn't go through any vehicle computers. It is available from IJDMTOY.com and is their part number Vibrate-DRL. I believe it uses a pizo crystal to turn on the circuit whenever vibration is felt.

It connects up to any battery circuit and acts as a relay to power up any LED light circuit less than 5W. I used it to turn on the lower fog lights on my ZL1 front end conversion.

The attached pics show the module and wiring that comes with the kit. I lengthened the wires, installed a fuse and added black conduit. The power lead was attached to the battery plus on the under hood fuse block, ground to the radiator mount bolt and the output leads to the lower fog light bulbs that were changed to LED.

The module was attached to my catch can bracket mount with tie straps. This was my 2nd location choice since my first one didn't vibrate enough to keep the module turned on.

The lights turn on as soon as the car is started and turn off 20 sec after the engine is stopped.
