ZL1 tire replacement labor cost

What are you guys being charged lately for the labor to dismount/mount/balance a set of tires? Here in Northern VA I've been quoted anywhere between $110 - $250 for labor alone. I've called 7 different shops so far. The average quote is about $160. This seems insanely expensive...does anyone know a shop around Northern VA who's not charging this and doesn't have careless technicians?

I got charged $71 for replacing two rears on my SS. Sounds like your quote is in line with what I paid out here if it was a full set.

If you want a bargain basement price for expert technicians with quality equipment you're going to be disappointed.

I just had my rears replaced, mounted and balanced. $20 for both. And they price matched Tire Rack on the tire price. They didn't make much on me. Oh yeah, Discount Tire in Texas.

I just picked mine up. I paid $122 after labor and tire disposal. I used Moore Automotive in Fairfax, VA. It's more than ive paid in the past but the technician had 10 years experience at the performance shop and didn't damage my wheels in the process. It sounds like prices vary widely and I paid somewhere around average.

$20 for a new pair of rear tires R&R?

My butt is so puckered I can't even get the cat to ride in the car. And he knows how to fall out of a tree in a thunderstorm.

Removing old tires then mount and balance new tires times 2 was $20, $10 each.

I have no idea what the butt puckering and cat means.
