People think you have high beams on at night?

Hi,

Has anyone gotten flashed with low beams on, wondering if mine are set high!

Happens to us all the time. Same thing in our truck. We just flash real quick to let them know they're already on low.

Most people are still used to halogen headlights.

Imagine if you took a Camaro back in the 1930s when all cars had incandescent headlights! People would think it was a spaceship heading right towards them and probably drive off the road lol!

Since we are on the subject .. when I flip the high beams on I notice just extra light in the air like up in the trees and not further on the road... So I just stay on low beam all the time.. Anyone else noticed this?? Or do mine need adjusting?? Would think they would be right from the factory..

Oddly enough, it happens more in my wife's Charger than my Camaro, but I do get it occasionally. I guess some people think low beams should be a dull yellow color.

Ha! I think about shit like this all the time. I love to think about traveling back in time with my phone/car/or some other form of modern tech and imagining how people would react to it.

Ever hear of the Die Progress Unit? Its just a small piece of this amazing article on artificial intelligence:

http://waitbutwhy.com/2015/01/artifi...olution-1.html

It basically says that if you could go back in time, pluck someone from the 1500's, and bring them forward to our time, the experience may be so shocking and traumatic (our technology so incomprehensible) they might actually die from it!

So, a DPU is the expanse of time required for technology to advance enough between two time periods that the person traveling from the past to the present could actually die from "technology overload" so to speak. Crazy.

Sorry, went on a tangent there.... but you made me think of it so I thought I'd share.

The reverse of that would be us going back to times long past and pathogens long since died out.. Even with current vaccinations, you'd still be subject to all kinds of nasty bugs that no longer afflict our species. Not to mention your body's inability to really handle how food was prepared back then.. or.. well, that "smelling good" is a rather new thing.

The ATS xenons supposedly have too much glare. In fact GM as a whole did pretty poorly in the IIHS headlight test. It wouldn't surprise me if the Camaro headlights are aimed too high.

Yep, all the time! The high beams are damn powerful so you can REALLY show em what the brights look like!
