Blew a drive belt ...

3.4" pulley on front JRE super tensioner / Napa V25-060947, replaced with Gates belt same length on paper and eye test. This thing does not want to go on. Is there a trick to this, does the tensioner or other pulley need to be adjusted ?

Some can be a Bitch to put on. I put it on all pulleys but the blower pulley then put a break over bar on the crank and turn the motor and work the belt on. If that don't work put it on all pulleys but the water pump and work it on. Napa belts are gates belts.

Yes sir had it cranked over and it's still a good inch or so shy. I'll have to get another set of hands on it maybe.

I loosen the blower idler pulley until it almost comes off, that usually gives enough room to get it on when swing the tensioner over.
