bolt size to plug oil drainback from factory seperator

there is a metal pipe leaving the oil separator behind the water pump. it leads down to the oil pan. i would like to remove it and plug the hole. it looks like a bolt would do it if i knew what to order. does anyone know the specs on that bolt or have a clean way to plug that hole? i could take it somewhere and have it welded shut i suppose.
