ZL1 looks great. How do you like it compared to the Stingray?

The C8 feels quicker off the light, and it probably is, the ZL1 is probably quicker on a roll though where it has the power advantage. Our C8 isn't completely stock though, it has a set of lighter BC Forged wheels and an AWE catback exhaust. The wheels and tires saved 40lbs over the stock wheels and tires, the AWE exhaust saved 31lbs over the stock exhaust and adds 19hp. The C8 feels like its glued to the road because of low center of gravity, it has the Z51 package so it feels planted.

My 2019 ZL1 (which I just bought with 7k miles) is currently in the shop having the following done but I am going to talk them about this wing. 1) Stage 2 paint correction 2) Stage 2 Ceramic Pro (entire car including wheels and calipers) 3) Tinted windows as well as side markers and rear reflectors The original owner was cool enough to have installed an Xpel clear bra over the entire front end including headlights, Carbon fiber SC cover, front window pillars and roof up to the sun-roof so I did not need any Xpel.

I'm picking the car up from Vengeance tomorrow. The final dyno numbers were:
SAE -Baseline 579.95whp/580.44wtq -Vengeance Stage III Package 677.58whp/620.11wtq STD -Baseline 599.99whp/596.01wtq -Vengeance Stage III Package 697.34whp/635.19wtq Torque seems a little lower than I have seen from some other cars with similar mods, I'll ask about it when I pick it up but the whp is pretty much spot on, basically maxed out the fuel system on 93 octane. This is a full bolt on package with the stock ported blower, so there's no more to be gained without meth or installing a cam. I'll try to post dyno charts tomorrow when I get them. Vengeance Racing is by FAR the most professional performance shop I've ever dealt with. Their customer service puts other shops to shame. Here's a few pics of the build that they provided, the only thing missing is the Cordes performance tank. The tank got installed early this morning and I didn't receive any pics after that. I will get some more pics when I get the car home. They also installed a BMR cradle lockout kit, not pictured. Last edited by Z OH 6; 12-03-2020 at 06:56 AM. |

No, the stock NPP exhaust is actually restrictive at a certain HP level, I believe some say around 700whp. That being said, I'm using the AWE resonated touring catback exhaust. AWE is the best sounding exhaust I've ever heard other than a Shelby GT350.

Good to know because I was thinking of my first mod (other than my Roto-Fab) was Kooks headers, Kooks green cats and the rest my NPP. Kooks has a video with that setup and it sounds good and I like the valve control because I live in a condo and have many neighbors...LOL
