New Shifter After Shift To Park Message

2018 2 SS Automatic.

To make a long story short, I recently had the Shift to Park message come up when I placed it into park. I took it to the dealer and they replaced the shifter.

Yesterday, I pulled into a parking space and then put it into reverse to back up. When I did this, the knob on the shifter never came back out. It got stuck in the in postion and I could not get it out of reverse. After I hit the shifter a few times, the button popped out and I was able to place it into park. I took it back to the dealer and they said they wiped off excessive grease from the factory. Nothing else looked out of place.

My question is when I place my shifter in park, neutral or drive, the knob (button) seems to come out fully. However, when I place it into reverse, I swear only about 1/2 of the knob (button) comes out (sticks out less). Has anyone else experienced this on their new shifter?
