What is your IAT range on WOT?

Hello,

I got my car Whipple supercharged. Recently, as Summer is coming, the ambient is 90F and the IAT is around 120F at idle.

and during WOT from 3rd gear to 6th gear, it goes up to 170F from 120F.

My boost level is 16 PSI with Ethanol injection (50/50 water) for cooling and octane, but feels it is too high with the injection.

The IAT sensor is just after the heat exchangers and I am injecting it before the exchanger.

I have a twin turbskies; when cruising my IAT's are usually the same as the ambient air.. give or take a few degree's.

when i stab it the temperature climbs up about 5-10 degree's depending on how long i stay in it. i suppose the cooling effect of my intercooler is significantly better than your air-to-water setup.

are you sure it's going up that high? 50 degree's seems like alot.

please upload a datalog so we can try to help you better.

Working with Ted tuning right now and this was a pull from last night. Ambient was 86, IAT’s were really good @6600rpm. This is a procharged setup w/ race IC.

Welcome to PD blowers. I am currently fighting it with my Magnuson 2300. Bigger resevoir, better heat exchanger, bigger lines, better IC pump etc.

Also: posting a log from a dyno pull doesn't matter at all. Real life, running through the gears is where you will see if there are any problems. Also how much boost/power you are making more air = more compression = more heat etc. <<Generalizing so no one go full science on me.

Not sure if this was in reference to my post, but that log was on the street in 86 degree weather. Otherwise I do agree.

Are any of you centri guys over 750whp? Over 10 psi of boost? ShinySun is running 16 at probably 780ish whp through the auto. I know Centri’s in general stay a bit cooler but just wanting to compare apples to apples as best we can.

My Procharged Camaro with 13psi when doing a 1/4 mile run starts with IAT 100*, IAT2 120* and Manifold Temp 123* and ends the run in IAT 140*, IAT2 136* and Manifold Temp 146*. This is with a 416 car, an F194-A in the scorching humid heat of the caribbean.

Same car with the Maggy, the IAT at the end of the run where higher than the Engine Coolant Temp at around the same boost levels and even with meth injection.

Is this with the a2w or air to air IC? Also, 416 and F194-A. Very jealous.

A2W. But I'm going now with more boost as this was a customer car and it was on baby boost for a F194-A... We'll how it acts with more boost, some meth for cooling and "patch" any fuel system deficiencies in the humid heat down here.

Today, I tested with Magnuson. The almost same condition, about 16psi.
from 125F to 135F only at 5th gear WOT , from 2500~6500RPM.

Great info. Seems to match what I heard from others too. Seems there are a bunch of centri guys using old data on the new PD setups. Thanks for sharing.
