Tire Size Advice Please
So, I just put a set of M228s on my 2010 SS. 20X10 and 20X11. Front tires are 275/30R20 and rears are 295/30R20. I like how the rears look and fit but, the fronts are too low of a profile and, I think, don't look right.
I am thinking of switching the front tires out to 275/35R20. The problem is that the 275/35 is .85" taller than my current rears (295/30). So, will having the fronts showing more sidewall than the rears look bad? Resulting in me having to change the rear size? Uhhhhg... |

It should be fine, I ran 275/35/20 front, 305/30/20 rear and it didn't look that bad.

Thanks for the reply. The " it didn't look that bad" part is not totally comforting... lol
Not sure which direction to go. |

Those wheel sizes are the the same as the ZL1.
Stock tire size: 285/35/20- front 305/35/20- rear Optional sizes: 275/40/20- front 315/35/20- rear Some even use a 295/35/ 20 front.

Thanks. Those do look good. I am beginning to think that, since my new setup is soooo different than the stock size tires and old wheels, I am just in shock...

U have a huge wheel gap, thats why it looks off. Car needs to be lowered to look better, or do consider changing tire. I Like the 30 profiles on the 6th Gen better. |

Heres my front tire in 285/35/20 before lowering. next pic is after lowering, i didn’t wanna go too low, don’t want to scrape on driveways. As u can see it doesn’t look much lower than before, but it is. I got coilovers, so I can adjust height on the fly. Hope u got your tires and your happy with them. |

Ive got 20x9.5 fronts and 20x10.5 rears but theyre currently wrapped in my stock 245 and 275 tires lol. Ive been wondering about right tire sizes too since ill be buying new tires soon. My issue more or less is will the meatier tires look good at stock height or will I still need to lower the car about 1-1.25" to get rid of the huge wheel gap?

A 295/30/20 tire is 27" tall
A 275/35/20 tire is 27.6 " tall A 265/35/20 tire is 27.3" tall Why not run a 315/35/20 and a 275/40/20 - they are both 28.7" tall Go to tiresize.com - you can compare all sizes and see what they look like in comparison next to each other before you buy any particular combination
