Total confidence you got to be kidding, I found out that my car did not have the RS on it 7 days be four i had a VIN, now when i found out i call GM corporate and had a file opened to let GM know that their is a computer problem in the order System at the pass test, Do you Think that GM called back or gives a ____ .

So that is Total confidence, At this point i am buying this car for only one reason That i want an F-body car.

i called the dealer about 4 days after i ordered and added stripes to my car. hope this didnt change anything.....im beginnign to question the $1200 headlights and dark red plastic anyways....maybe il just let it be a suprise

I vote you order a new one the way you want it so that you are not regreting what you "settled for". You have waited this long, dont compromise.

I had the same problem with the rs package... I did make a change, but I swore I looked at the total price and it was still right... I would of noticed if it was $1200 lower... so I thought. Maybe, they do something later, I don't know.

All I remember is the last time I made a change, the total price was right and it showed up w/o the rs package???

You are right that is what happened too my, on Thursday i called my dealer and changed the order to M6 with the LS3 and got the IOM exterior, so had the order guy do a pass test and give me the price of the car it was 36,745 for the car on Thursday
Than on Tuesday my dealer calls and sad that he is putting the order in today, Am i happy with the order? and i say yes, But we did not go over the order on Tuesday, At this point The RS is nice but not a big deal and it lost the Polished Rims that is no big deal to me i am going to order some nice big rims as soon as i get the car, But you do what you want to do.

This happened to me as well -- I realized it was built without it by looking at the VIN tracking thread and had to reorder it. The biggest problem is getting both GM and the dealer to accept responsibility -- if GM's system worked right you wouldn't have this problem, BUT... if your dealer reviewed your order line-by-line before hitting the submit button, then you wouldn't have this problem either -- I reordered mine last month and my production week has been moved back 3 weeks from the original date given -- I hope you have luck with it. The dealer is able to expedite orders in special cases by going through their regional manager -- you may want to ask them to look into it.

I know your dealer is an idiot but if your paying so much for a car, did you not check, double check then triple check the order?

As I've posted in other threads, a friend and I both ordered 2SS/RS's, mine IOM with manual and his RY with auto. Dealer crossed the trans on both orders so both are wrong and can't be changed, in fact, mine is built. We both are refusing the cars and getting our deposits back. Oh, and we never received an invoice or other written order confirmation to verify the orders.

Sorry to hear of your prediciment. I certainly hope that they extend to you the pre-order pricing as GM raised the price on all new orders placed after April 1, 2009 I believe.

That sucks, but what would be worse is to accept something you do not want!

I already thought of that too. I basically 'demanded' it and wrote it on the new order with my signature.
