c8 6.2 vs camaro 6.2

why does the 6.2 make more power in the C8? 495 vs 455

Here is what I remember - if wrong I’m sure others will chime in.

C8 LT2 has:
- better flowing intake
- better flowing exhaust
- better tune

Additional duration on the cam specs as well. Exhaust to match the intake I think but not sure of exact specs

I'd say a nice test would be to upload the LT2 tune to an LT1 and see the results.
Besides the intake, I doubt there will be much difference.

This, with the intake being the largest contributor. The exhaust being second and the camshaft supporting the prior two. Dry sump and CCV system helps. but the power gains are pretty small, mostly being a big benefit to the durability and longevity of the engine in track use.

C8's don't gain much on the straights vs my stock SLE.

Camaro gets LT1 and the C8 gets the LT2.
Like others posted not exactly the same 6.2.
