Kudos
Came back from an event and next morning, rear tire flat. Pumped it up looked and found screw in tire. Sunday, nothing open. Called the local Discount Tire I do business with this morning, "can you patch my tire". Man said bring it right in (8 am).
So, I air the tire up (slow leak) and drive to his shop. They take my car in after a 10 min wait. The store was really busy. They had wheel off and patch repaired quick . After road force rebalance, the wheel was put back on. Go back to desk and ask for bill. Mgr says, " no charge". About fell backwards. I am a repeat customer for multiple vehicles. Gave the man lunch money and left. This business Discount Tire, will continue to get my business.

Great Customer Service
^They will continue to get my business as well.
Similar situation happened to me too. Looking at A/S tires now, and will be ordering them from DT. Cheers/B

Most places will fix a flat for free here in Connecticut. I usually tip the tech.

And I had just the opposite. Went in to have a slow leak repaired and informed (after waiting nearly an hr, and no other customers) that the tire needed to be replaced and couldn't be fixed. "And by the way, we don't have the same tire in stock and so you'll need all four replaced. Here's the estimate. One other thing, we performed a safety inspection of your vehicle and are happy to report there are no issues". My reply, no thanks and why did it take nearly an hr to tell me this when all I asked for was a tire repair. A quick look under the car would've determined if a repair was possible. The leak was slow and I took it to my local mechanic the next day. He had the tire and replaced it.
Later that day, I went into the trunk to discover Discount took my trunk apart to get to the battery. Why? Don't know and don't care. Will NEVER use Discount Tire again. |

this is why i do tire stuff myself. if i need tires mounted i take the wheels off the car. luckily i know a few ppl with tire machines and balancers if needed. i can do any repair myself.
tire places can some of the greasiest places around.
