Socal peeps! Angeles Crest Highway
Socal drivers! I'm heading down south on vacation to Disneyland in April but I've convinced my girlfriend that we should dedicate a day to driving on the beautiful mountain roads you guys have down there. Angeles Crest Highway to be specific.
We'll be renting a C7 corvette stingray for the day. Any tips you guys have for driving down Angeles Crest would be much appreciated. Ex. Time of day, places to stop by, cop posts etc. I think we're hitting up the popular restaurant halfway up the mountain for breakfast and scenic shots. Thanks again! |

Yeah I've read something about the upper portion of the road being closed during the winter months due to weather. I'm hoping it's not the case during April as the weather warms up nicely around that time.
Just crossing my fingers nothing crazy happens to the road where they need to repair. |

There are some rock slides and snow but you can probably get half way up or more by April. Rock chip hell but if you are in a rental who cares. No cops. lots of Squids.
