I don’t know about everyone else, but I would have happily paid twice what this calibration is going for if it was actually set up properly with a separate menu and such. Makes you wonder if they did ANY market research on this or consulted any owners that actually run these cars at the strip. Cool idea, bad execution.

Is that ‘Ask Al’ thing still going? These would be great questions for him.

The drive mode selector is pretty simple to use for scrolling between modes, so that would be fine for putting it into drag mode, but it would be nice to have a dedicated button or 2 for line lock and a trans brake. It would be so cool to have a transbrake button that would lock the trans as long as you hold it in and as soon as you release it, the car would take off.

About the elsd...

I came across a zl1 1le diff, axles, and driveshaft. Since I would try to use in the wifes SS M6.. how do you handle the elsd? Or other problems? Worth messing with?

The diffs drag calibration is only activated when everything (traction and stability control) is turned off.
This would be the 7s mode....correct?

Right. Hold the TC button for 7 seconds to turn everything off.

Yes..cool...followed all of your advice last year at the track. was able to get a rythym going for the factory line lock as well. I like it...much better than using the brakes.

Anyone know if the 18s came with this updated eLSD? My dealer doesn't know anything.

I have an 18 and have no idea, but I’m guessing it’s not so they can bend you over for $350 for an 18 minute reprogramming. Which is completely BS for a $70,000 car! Since when did Chevrolet Labor rates go to $1,166/hour? And who knows if they actually did anything since there’s no added menu identifying said raping.

I don't think so. This calibration hasn't been available very long. If any of the cars come standard with it, it would likely be the 19s, but I've not seen it stated anywhere that this was added. I'm sure if they did, they would be listing it as an upgrade for the 19s as an added incentive for some to upgrade from a 17 or 18 model.

What we need is for them to finally release the full Drag Pack..

https://media.gm.com/media/us/en/che...amaro-zl1.html

Because in that, it included this lovely gem..

Transmission calibration

Which hopefully, would correct the torque management issues..
