I had the GMax AS-03 on my 2011 2LT/RS and I love them. I plan on getting some all seasons in November or December for my 2017 2SS and I may be going with the 05s.

According to Tirerack, they're very slightly below the Comp 2 a/s in ratings. But the Comp 2 a/s is already 2 years old, as is the DWS06. And the DWS06 is just a recompounded DWS from '09.
I might spring for the AS-05 or might splurge on the P4S.

Placed my order today at Discount Tire, they matched Tire Rack's price. $980 installed, including warranty. I'll use a gift card from them and the $70 rebate General is running at the moment for $120 off, so $860 all told.

Apparently the BFG Comp 2 A/S is no longer available in stock sizes for the SS? At least I can't find it anymore.
How does the General compare on noise? I like the price and the current rebate.

I just had the AS-05's put on this morning and what a change, no noise and a smoother ride, way better than the run on flats and no regerts (on purpose) on these tires.

Sounds good! I'm hoping traction didn't take a shit though.

I did not notice any loss of traction, I think that they are a little more responsive than the GY's but definitely a better ride, so now I have to get a flat tire repair kit.

May need to try going straight to your tire shop and see if they can locate some. Or get the Generals. Just as good as the Comp 2 A/S and the DWS06 from what I'm reading.

Yep, my reading supports that too. I'll most likely be taking a dive with the Generals!

Please be aware the current $70 rebate from General is only good through Oct 31!

I got my tires installed today. Much quieter, although the growling sound that TR noted is definitely there. It might be because they're still not completely worn in yet, but it's there. Cost was $978, but I had a $50 gift card for Discount Tire and then there's the $70 General Tires rebate. That'll help off set the alignment cost.

20 miles and I got a nail already. FML.

ETA:. The rebuild kit for tpms was screwy, wasn't installed correctly. Thank goodness.

Just installed a set on my 16 SS. Originals still had a little left at 17,500 miles.
So far, the ride, noise level and traction are way better than the GYs.

Hey i have a 16 SS aswell and was wondering about update 2 months later, I priced these out at DTD and TR and an actual Discount TIre store , the Generals at 788 at tirerack then have to get installed, or 846 from DTD with there certificate for refund or replacement on all 4 tires. If i go directly to the Store ( not far away) they quoted me alittle under grand installed ( General offering 70 $ visa again and 50$ if i open CC and pay off in 9 months ) so basically 880ish
