where to get the best deal on a new (most likely 2018) ZL1

If you saw my previous post, you know that I've been going back and forth between the GT350 and ZL1. Pretty sure I've made up my mind to go ZL1 based on a number of factors, price/performance being at the top of the list (and all of the helpful feedback from you guys and the guys at the GT350 forum).

I've been scouring the usual sites for the best deal for a new ZL1 for months now. I'm based in CA, but looking throughout the country, and open to used but I seemed to have found new 2018's are cheaper than most of the used 2017's and 2018's I've found listed. I'm set on getting a 6M, and I've got two that are very similar on my radar. Both are practically the same, brand new 2018's, $13k off sticker, silver. Both are great deals and I'd be stoked to have either one though I'd prefer blue, ruby red, red, grey, or white (can't do black). Price is a definite factor for me, and while I recognize that I'm totally nitpicking here, I figured I'd reach out to those who know best in case I'm missing something. I go through the usual sites (cargurus.com, autotrader.com, cars.com), and these are the best deals out there that I find. Anyone seen anything better, or comparable that I should be checking out that may not be on my radar?

Shut up and buy the car is a completely acceptable answer as well though appreciate any leads that I may not be aware of...

Well these are not on our color list - but they are in San Diego and they are $10k off MSRP. Yellow Vert and Silver Coupe

Floyd, if you’re not in too much of a rush to buy a ZL1 then keep checking those websites. I found my 2017 Z on cars.com which it was used with 422 miles and around $14,000 less than a new one. I really wasn’t looking to buy it but it was a real good deal and I wanted to upgrade from my 2016 SS. I was looking for a white one too but when I saw the ‘17 in silver ice I was hooked. IMO the ‘19 Zs look just as good as the ‘17 and ‘18s and have most of the same options. Keep looking and I think the one you are searching for will show up! Good luck!

Thanks guys, definitely keeping my eyes open for the right deal. Supercup, I sent an e-mail to your dealer as we are flying down to San Diego next Friday.

Floyd, that silver 2018 silver ice Z at Courtesy Chevy might be the one for you. Nice Z with some options and a 6 speed.

I have seen new ZL1 1le 2018 for 58,180.00 with PDR, and 57 non PDR, This mean a person can get a ZL1 for low 50's. I'm watching and chomping at the bit, I'm waiting for a few things, will they get cheaper? Will they up the hp a little due to the GT500 coming ? Will they make it dual injection? And last will the 15% off 0 % continue? I will not by a used one unless it's a ZLE 1LE for 50K with $ like this.

Anyone have any insight as to rebates coming on the '19's? I have a ZLE being built now and should be at the dealer in the end of April. I saw that Camaro sales so far are off 30% this year. I am hoping GM opens up the piggy bank on the '19s before I need to pick mine up. Seeing the steep rebates on the '18's has made this tough, but I want the Stainless Steel color, and while some of the other updates for '19 are nice, it is really about the color. Basically, based on the price of the '18s, I will be losing about 20% the moment I drive it off the lot. It is a car and that is what they do, and I wont go hungry, but I would sleep a little better if I could pick this up in the mid 60's instead of 73K.

It’s my understanding that you can’t get both the 15% off AND the 0% financing. It’s one or the other.

We’re in the same exact boat - satin steel color, price, timing of delivery.... all the while knowing about the great deals on 18’s. I had dealers chasing me..But, want the 19.

Courtesy has had the silver one for a long time. It’s manual, has PDR and sunroof which were mandatory options for me. Seems they finally priced it to sell. If you are questionable on color, I say hold off till you locate one of the colors you are most interested in, you don’t want any regrets spending $50k plus for anything. I don’t see deals getting much better as the pickings are becoming slimmer with 19’s on the lots and discounted already, although not near what an 18 can be had for. Join Costco and Corvette museum for possibly more discounts. Look into buying others GM points if offered and still usable. Discounts for Vets, first responders and teachers if you qualify. I see folks saying $53k but have yet to see the real deal numbers to confirm and most seem to be trading in something so the numbers can be played with. Good luck in your search!

Thanks ! I got it so the best deal would be 15% off, and get a low % rate.
