There's tons of threads on this, whether you can hear it or not (i can) look at this link, there is a difference. Especially if you quickly get on throttle from partial throttle. I daily my car and noticed a difference immediately in the low rpm cruising scenarios. But as said this topic has been brought up many times before, and in track the flaps do move.

Like others have said I noticed a difference when in 6th gear on the highway with track mode vs. fuse pull. With the fuel pulled there was slightly more noise IMO at the same throttle %, so I pulled my fuse and never looked back. I'm currently looking at the AWE Track axle back because I would still like a little more noise, it is still just too quite even with track/fuse pull.

Maybe the problem is I'm never in 6th gear and I'm never using partial throttle?

Whether you hear a difference or not, the facts are they close even in Track mode. If you pull the fuse, they default open. Period.

Learned some new in this thread (actually the link to the thread with the tune file that shows the NPP mode valve activation). Thanks for the insight!

I don't think anyone is disputing IF/WHEN they open and close.

We're just saying plenty of us noticed ZERO difference after fuse-pull, so in my case I plugged the fuse back in...why have it out if I can't tell the difference?

And then I bought a new exhaust of course.

No disrespect here either but, maybe you don't know what you are listening for? Or your system is broken/stuck.

Yea you’re probably right. I was listening for changes in exhaust tone or volume.....like the changes that occur when switching exhaust mode.

Silly me. What should so be listening for? Help me out!

I pulled the fuse on mine today and can’t really notice that much of a difference so far. It seems like the ZL1 is louder in track mode than my 2016 SS was. Of course it also had a Cold Air Inductions CAI and maybe it contributed to the loudness of the SS.

Finally got around to pulling the fuse. There is a difference. The flaps must close some when in higher gears without a load even when it is in track mode.
