Update

Received and tested a part off eBay, didn’t match part numbers but took the risk. It did not work sadly, now I either have to match part numbers or try the harness

Another update

I read the eBay listing I bought off of and it said never been used so I thought to leave it plugged in. The USB ports work now, the iPod screen comes up and works but the CarPlay and Android Auto doesn’t work still. I’m letting it stay plugged in overnight and see in the morning

Final update

After a few hours of leaving it plugged in, the CarPlay works. Everything’s working as it should and I’m considering this fixed. Paid $27 on eBay for parts+shipping compared to the dealerships fee to diagnose then fix the problem at estimated $200+ at least.

Great job! Glad to know it was fixed for a fraction of the price!

How did you remove it? Does it just pull out?

I took it in under warranty and it was fixed by a new USB receptacle in 1 hour.

Sorry I missed your reply, good that warranty took care of it. IMO as long as you're in warranty you should always make them do the things that are covered otherwise you'll be stuck making threads like me lol!

For anyone else with similar question, find a video that shows removing the center console and you can lie down on either seat (half out the car, half on the seat) and point a light underneath to see the clips holding the USB module in as well as the wires that you have to unplug.
