2019 Blu tooth mic problems

I have a new 2019 2SS and people say i sound like i'm in a tin can when on the blutooth wireless with my iphone.

I saw people had issues on the 2016/17 and said they needed to put some type of foam in the a pillar, but I would think GM would have fixed this by now...

Jusst wanted to know if anyone with a 2018/19 had issues or had a fix.

Thanks.

Never had any complaints with Bluetooth in mine. You already try to unpair and repair?

Mine had issues a long time ago, I brought into the dealer, they supposedly took the pillar apart and put back together, not sure if they removed anything, but since then it works perfect. I used to have to shout for someone to hear me, now I hear the person on the other end and they hear me fine.

Bluetooth

Same issue with my 18. Pair and unpair with every start. People say I break up/tin can/can't hear me. Doesn't matter my physical location, Same with other peoples phones. She's been in storage all winter and I'm not looking forward to a dealer having it for a week or more to tell me "IDK." So let me know how it works out for you please.

I took a screenshot in December from this forum. We aren't the only ones experiencing this issue. Maybe this number will help you

I have this problem too in my 18. The dealer is replacing the mic but from what I've read here that won't help.
Shockme66, since you've posted this in February has your dealer been able to fix yours?

Okay so not sure if this is your problem, but my buddy at a collision center said to tell my dealer that my microphone line is reading as “unplugged” or something like that. Seems to me like it was never properly done in the first place. I’ll have the dealer take a look as this has been a problem since I’ve gotten the car but I’ve always just ignored it, and was only informed recently by an outside party BESIDES Chevy.

Update. Boardwalk Chevy in Redwood City California changed the mic and it didn’t fix the problem. Since I didn’t buy the car from them they wouldn’t do anything else. They agreed that it wasn’t fixed but told me to go back to the dealer I purchased the car from which is 2.5hrs away.
I’m blown away by the lack of customer service at this dealership.
It sure sounds like there is a leak in a seal on the pillar where the mic resides. It’s fine at a standstill but once moving it sounds like a wind tunnel on the other end.

Same issue but resolved

Finally got my 2019 RS to the dealer for the same issue. They found that air was coming in through the sunroof drain which was interfering with the audio pickup on the mic. They called GM tech services to see if they offered a fix and they didn’t. The dealer was able to insulate around the mic and made it 150% better.
