I tried it a few weeks ago and it is that simple. I rubbed on first application then immediately did a second coat with a pressure washer

Oh here is a great video on testing durability. Not long term testing but it holds up to machine polishing.

Basically is the same type of product as Carpro Hydro 2. I am not a fan of these types of sealants for the paint of the car, doesn't last nearly as long as a wipe on/wipe off type of product like Reload.

I'm hoping to see a comparison of Meguiars Hybrid Ceramic spray wax, CarPro Reload and Blackfire SIO2.

Yes but Reload is $70/liter and Hydro2 is $20/liter. You can use the Hydro2 more often and with less effort.

I'm a novice. Applied it to my cx-5 a few days ago. Repels water like crazy. Nice gloss too.

Extremely easy to apply. I prefer the spray and wipe foundation method instead of the rinse off method (only after a base/foundation layer has been applied).

Expecting it to last a month to 3 months from the info in comparison videos.

I wouldnt mind doing it once a fortnight or a month.

EDIT: There's a $5 meguiars rebate too. Advance auto parts has it for $12 after 25% off coupon.

Ok, here is a little sample. Got my father to stop by so I could test it on his 2002 E46. As far as I know has never had a paint correction, and the wax on it was dead(early fall). So I used a no gloss enhancer soap wash, nanoskin, wash again, and base foundation layer of HCW, then a rinse off layer of HCW. Used too much, probably 4-5 oz, had to buff a little.
I just wanted some results from the quick and easy clean up.

Again, I didn't do anything else, no polish, nothing besides wash, nanoskin, and HCW.

Had a lot of pollen and dew and dust that resulted in spots. Hasn't rained much. I rinsed it with water which got rid of most of the dirt and spots. Water was beading and sheeting off, especially on the sides.

This car (cx-5) sits in the sun 24/7.

Washed the car with Meguiar's soap. Effortless wiping with some mitts and the car was clean again. Beads like crazy again.

Looks good at the 15 day mark. Will check again at 1 month.

Edit: I prefer sheeting over beading.
The cx-5 did well as far as ease of cleaning goes. I didn't apply any more of the HCW to the cx-5. Didn't see any need for that.

Went ahead and applied it to the camaro as well.

I just tried it for the first time, Amazon had it pretty cheap, and I have to say that I don't think it'll be my goto product. Once you put it on, it snags my microfiber and requires a more vigorous buffoff than I want to do. I think I'll go back to my McKees 37 10 minute paint sealant, or the blackfire SIO2 spray, they are both true "wipe on and walk away".

Getting much too lazy in my old age.

true. I guess P&s beadmaker is next after I run out of Meguiars hcw (will be a while lol), supposed to be super slick but not that great longevity wise.
