Well,

I read all the stories of shudder coming back for people. I guess I'm lucky so far almost 10k miles and no shudder issue after the tranny flush and reprogram.

I'm just worried it might come back, and if a car is anything like computer hardware, if it can't be fixed it gets replaced. But how many times should it be replaced before GM admits it's a bad design?

The shudder is torque converter related not the transmission. Buy a good torque converter from FTI or Circle D and tune the trans...all will be good.
