Thats the bracket you guys sent me, just need to know where 02 Fbod35 mounted the single bolt end. I like like it in front of the engine vs. Left Side above the exhaust. Thanks

Hello Elite Team,
Based on the info and his pics, was this installed correctly? I'm getting ready to install the E2 can into the same make/model/year.

Thanks...

Here is a better pic for you guys. I pulled one of the bolts on the thermostat housing and mounted it there. It’s a tight fit but if you angle the bracket right it definitely fits. There’s plenty of clearance between the bracket and belt too. And yes, this is the standard bracket that elite sends with the can.

I can’t wait to install this thing on mine !
Fbody, did you remove the sound dampening material from your supercharger?

I’m thinking about leaving mine off after the install.

I did remove mine. I also have the rotofab intake. The two combined real wakes up the supercharger whine.

I am absolutely removing the plate while I have the SC cover removed for the E2 catch can install. That along with the Roto Fab should absolutely make a difference.

FBody.. Did Elite ever respond to you regarding the way you have it installed? Do you still have the same issues / concerns?

Thanks guys..

They did respond. They said everything looks good and it was functioning as designed. I was hoping to verify that from another zl1 owner. I just wanted to make sure that the oil cap has a vacuum when removed while the engine is running in stock form. Would you mind verifying that for me on yours?

I definitely will. The first / best video that I found regarding the installation is linked below. Is this how you hooked yours up?

Another good one..

Yep. I used both of them videos as guides. The only difference is where I chose to mount my can. Obviously I mounted mine in front of the engine.

Thanks Fbod! I wish that Thermostat housing bolt was a little beefier
but it is what it is. Thanks

How hard of an install are these on the LT4? I had one on my LS3 & it was pretty straight forward & a breeze. I was amazed my the amount of blow by oil it picked up. How necessary are these on the LT4 & any issues with them and warranty concerns?

Yes, there should be suction if you remove the oil fill cap or our cleanside separator. That shows it is pulling full time evacuation. Good job all!!!

To answer your first question, the Install of a catch on the LT4 is a bit more complicated than the LS3. You've got to lift up the supercharger, replace the diverter valve and T into several vacuum lines. This video will walk you through the installation process.

Whether a catch can is needed on the LT4 or any engine for that matter will be debated until the end of time.

As far as warranty, I think you'll find yourself in a precarious position with a major engine malfunction and GM sees you've got a catch can. Right or wrong, the PVC system will have been modified giving GM a good excuse to deny warranty coverage.

I think adding a catch can as part of a high HP build is a no brainer. You're already blowing your warranty so you might as well throw in the can. On an otherwise stock LT4, I'm not sure a catch can is worth the time and effort -- especially if you're hell-bent on maintaining your powertrain warranty,
