New ZL1 1LE owner here....
Just picked up a ZL1 1LE this week. Summit white with PDR. So far I'm really enjoying it with all 98 miles on the odo.
Most recent cars(fun) were a 2016 SS sedan with a stick. Then a 2016 C7 Z51 A8... and I missed rowing gears so here I have landed. I don't feel like a GM person... but right now I have 3. 4 years ago I had and Evo 10 with entirely too much money wasted and a Tundra. Looking forward to lurking... and a rare post occasionally. |

Sick. Love the White. Shoot, all the colors look good on the 1LE.

excellent choice of color !!
Be ready for the constant giggling when you're driving it. They did a great job with this one.

Thanks - I like white. I also liked Garnet Red however there wasn't one reasonably close when purchasing.

Thanks.... it was my dads car and he passed away last year. He would be tickled to see my newest car! He bought it new and currently has 2,200 miles on her. I plan to never let her go, even though F-Bodies aren't my jam.

Great Color Choice.
Congrats & Welcome.
Went to Cars & Coffee and was immediatley approached for a photo shoot between American & German Track Monsters. One of the issues with this car, which I overlooked since it being a Camaro was the attention is gets from everyone on the streets. Once you have your first tack session, you will be amazed. Absolutely the best money value on the planet for a dedicated track car. Nothing comes close until you hit the x3 multiple in purchase. |

How does the ZL1 compare to the C7? I currently have a C7 and have been thinking about getting something that is a little easier to get in and out of, and a little more comfortable.

I like cars that are a "hoot" to drive. Probably my all time favorite car to date to drive daily, and just thrash on was a 2003 Lancer Evolution 8. I did simple bolt ons, made 300whp+, trapped 110-112, and was so fun to drive hard on curvy roads... all I had to do was keep sticky rubber on her to have fun. Hard to believe I sold that car 8 years ago My Evo 10 had way too much work done, and I found the amount of time I spent tinkering with it to keep it running great(and hunting for more power) wasn't worth its performance. It was definitely quicker than the ZL1 1LE in a straight line though. However a few grand in the ZL1 1LE would change that. A ZL1 would definitely be easier to get in and out of. I think a ZL1 1LE is a great weekend warrior car! However I think the number of people who would be happy DD it would be rare. I like driving my 10 year old truck as a DD b/c if something happens to it, oh well! I don't mind door dings/rock chips/and normal driving abuse on it. |

The ZL1 1LE is a better fit ! No putting your hand on the ground to get out from under a steering wheel, I've had to put my left hand and the door seal, but much better room and a better design then a stringray or C7 Z06 with same horsepower, no overheating No disrespect to corvette owners, but I prefer value and performance with no problems, and when I'm on a back road or track, it's doesn't matter if people see me or not, there will be a big smile on my face ! Have you ever stopped in the middle of nowhere and looked at your machine and went WOW ! |
