How much do you drive your ZLE?
Im seeing so many cars with like 5k on them going up for sale. I don’t daily my car by any means but i mean, i bought it to drive it more than a little.
Im almost at 13k when i put it up in storage and that seems like high mileage compared to others im seeing. |

My ZLE is a weekend fun car with some track days coming soon. Got her in August of last year and I’m at 3267 miles. Work has been keeping me really busy or I would have put more miles on her because this car is a blast to drive.

Much less since I bought a CT4-V Blackwing for the wife's daily / family car as that car is newer and seems to scratch the itch pretty good as well.

You know, i'd love a damn blackwing. I bought my ZLE and a new Excavator.
I'm pretty sure if I got a blackwing I'd have to go live in it. Guess I'll just have one of those ZLEs that has higher than average mileage. |

I've got 30K on my 2020. I drag race and road race it several times a year. Retaining its value has never been a concern of mine, not even from day 1.

My vote: drive that thing!! You might lose $5k or $10k when you sell it one day, but in my mind, I buy my cars to drive and enjoy. I know I don't have a ZLE, but if I had picked up one of those, I'd also drive the heck out of it. I went non-1LE because I never go to a road course, just the street and strip. Figured I wouldn't get the value out of the extra coin for the 1LE, though I love the look of the 1LE.
I "daily" my car, but that means 2-3 days per week, 25-30 miles each day. So not many miles, but maybe 5000-6000 miles a year, including fun trips or drives to the airport when I travel for work, or other errands on the weekend. My last 2 cars, I put about 14,000 miles per year on them. My '14 ZL1 had 68k miles when it got hit/totaled last year, and my 04' CTS-V had just over 100k when I sold it in '17. I like your approach- drive it and enjoy it.

Agree 100%. I bought it to drive, not to be a garage queen. Mine is my second car and is three years old with 12-13k. I have a 20-mile loop I drive when weather allows.

Good to see some people are driving it, appreciate the replies. I have a 90 mile loop I intend to drive when the weather clears up and I know it doesn't mean much, but I see myself hitting 20k this summer.
If I can't make it to the track like I hope, I'm gonna sell it. |

No 1LE here, I put 5k on mine last year and that was with 4 months spent at dealer getting trans rebuilt. I usually like to go on about a 50-mile loop or so when weather allows and our schedule is free on the weekends.

My ZLE is my daily, bought it new in Feb of '22 with 3 miles and it now has 27.9k miles on it. I don't intend on selling it and if I do, I will have gotten my money out of it.
I live in 29 Palms, CA so to go anywhere it is a drive. I go to a lot of cars/coffees and participate in car shows. I also pick up my kids from AZ every other weekend, meeting the ex halfway. I get why some don't want to drive it often but for me, I bought it to drive it. Don't care about some potential future value. I get value from owning and driving it. |

2019 ZLE here. Purchased new in April 2019 w/ 3 miles on the odometer.
Currently sitting at 11,330 miles. Majority of those miles are on track or driving to / from tracks. A few New England road trips in there as well, but she's not my daily. Stored for winter, some local weekend joyrides and trips to track days.

Got mine last June and it has 1200 miles on it. We have had a ridiculous amount of rain here, though, so it stays indoors a lot.

People want the canards, big ass wing and intimidating looks, but then realize it rides like a buckboard and starts developing squeaks and rattles all over the place after about 15-20k miles (this is a GM product after all)
For most people, an M5 or a CT5 Blackwing (if they can afford one) makes more sense. You really have to track the car or live on a mountain road for it to be practical |
