I feel you. And not only that, but the heavier and less powerful CTS-V has a faster 0-60 time. I can't figure it out.

It didn't seem like traction was that much of an issue. The car barely spun the tires at launch. However, the driver may have not launched as aggressively as he would have liked to because, like you said, maybe traction was an issue.

Seriously, I'm tired of all these ridiculously priced so called tuner packages that shave off barely 1 second off stock times etc.

NO Camaro, not even the Z28 should EVER exceed $45k period.

This package is essentially:
stripes
shifter
bolt on part for engine.

Not worth 64k imo.

So yeah I'm done with the "special" packages.

Mcd's Happy Meals have and hold more value.
I must say, I agree with you 100%. Every time I see one of these packages advertised for such high prices, I just wonder why someone would pay about $15,000 more than what the parts and labor should cost for their mods?

I know... name brand. And some measure of collectability. But, really, are these collectable Camaros going to be all that valuable? They're everywhere.

I like the seats and the paint stripes. The price is out of line and race times are down!

Of course traction is an issue! It is an issue on a stock SS as well when talking quarter-mile times.

The Hurst car is AWESOME... I like everything about it... wheels, shifter, seats, stripes, the black cars, the white version. But what I like best is retaining a warranty. Good luck with that to those guys that think they can build there own.

I wish I wasn't at work when I read your post. I laughed too loud for a quiet office.

One note though...I know everyone think if you slap a supercharger on a Camaro it should run 11s...but reality is they don't!

Yes...I know I'm slow and can't drive my supercharged Camaro...but it's really more than that when you talk about this type of set up.

This is the stock tune from Magnuson, stock air box, stock exhaust manifold and the stock pulley. The intake and exhaust hurt it as much as the tune but when added together, it really hurts the cars total performance.

Yes it's faster than stock, yes it's a blast to drive and yes the potential is there...but in this form, low 12s is really a great time! Heck, even Hennessey advertises their HPE550 at this time! So it's not slow...it's what is expected

Add LTs, CAI and a solid tune, swap pulleys to get the psi back from the mods and sure, you have an 11 second Camaro...but like this, with a warranty of 3/36...this is what you get.

I have one...I own basically this same set up (TVS2300 and catback)...my car would not, could not...even with a good driver...pull a 11 second pass! Get a freak of a driver in there...maybe...but not the norm folks!
Couldnt of said it better myself. I agree 100%

Yes they are (it's coming soon - I was told a couple months away)... but it only works with the aftermarket Hurst Shifter.
