Which mode would y'all say has the best throttle response?

I leave mine in Sport which feels very snappy and responsive, which I like.

Track mode actually felt little a delayed on the throttle response, which I found odd.
Though I like the tighter steering feel in Track.

*edit: I pulled the fuse so its always in open track as far as the exhaust.

steering in sport seems to be the sweet spot for me. Exhaust always in track, and suspension always in tour (bumpy ass New England roads).

I'm usually in Sport mode, but I'll swap to comfort mode when I know where a bit of a bump in the road, or visiting someplace that has a bumpy road or driveway, or cruising on the highway. Exhaust I have set to stay in Sport mode, as I find it the sweet spot for my preference. When I'm feeling sassy I'll swap that out for track mode on both, lol.

I don't like sport mode throttle. It is regressive, meaning that later on in the travel, it doesn't do much. It's intended to give you "more" without having to push further, but IME it overdoes it and makes it hard to put down power at the limit, since it gives so much. Track is far better IME, it's linear. It feels like the engine has more to give up high.

Yes, I think the design team's idea was that sport mode is for street hooning (where WOT still adds a tangible extra) and track mode is for competitive driving.

track mode throttle is the best, much more linear. Sport is too aggressive at tip in.

Interesting note that in my 2024 simply switching to sport drops a couple of gears immediately and then drops a couple more when I go to track. Then if you keep driving normally it will shift back up to normal RPMs. Pretty cool feature that I don't remember being on the 2017 auto that I had.

Steering can be adjusted in the settings. I never liked the stiff steering on the street but definitely wanted the exhaust open so changed mine to soft steering.

The real adjustments are in the PTM modes and on the track these make a huge difference once and you really get to "know" your car at that point.

Sport mode most all the time and track mode with the exhaust.

I always keep mine in sport but sometimes I like exhaust in track. So far, I haven't played with steering setup.

The modes are able to adjust steering feel, exhaust valve control, MRC, throttle response, shift points (automatic), and other things. What the modes do are generally small, subtle things, but there are definitely adjustments made to more than just the steering and exhaust.

California passed a law that an exhaust cannot be over 95 decibels. So unless you reside in this beautiful state leave the valves wide open.

Right, that's why I said, "unless you have MRC." If you don't, the modes do nothing for suspension. I forgot about shift points, but that's irrelevant for an M6. So really, all I can adjust are throttle/steering sensitivity and obviously NPP.

Are sport and track mode exhaust different? I thought they are both just fully opened all the time?
