Finally an UHP A/S tire in our size.
Up until now you either had to run Lexani Twenty (exact size), Bridgestone RE980 in a 295/30-20, 305/30-20 or Michelin All Season 4's in a mixed run flat rear configuration if you have cold weather in your AOR. I have run the Lexani's for a season, good all around tire for an amazing price, noisy though. Currently running the Bridgestone RE980's, good all around tire but flat spot like no other and the first half mile every morning is annoying, they also ride rough (choppy) compared to the Michelin 4S.
Continental announced these Jan 4th. https://www.tirereview.com/continent...ct-dws06-plus/ Last edited by Warrior102; 01-11-2021 at 05:21 PM. |

Haven't noticed any flat spotting with the RE980's, and it sits for several days sometimes between driving. But good to know about the Continental....Had the previous generation DSW on my 5th gen.

I should have clarified, 40F and up they are fine, the colder it is the more pronounced it becomes.

Great options but you can too deviate from the OE sizes and be perfectly fine, too, opening up your options even more. I know these are really popular and I'm glad to see the Sport+ tech added to them as one notable thing that I steered clear of where the reports of soft sidewalls and sloppy handling.

They aren't all season, but my Bridgestone S007a's have been doing fine here in the Raleigh NC area. 295/30 fronts fit fine. I drive it every day. They have a serious sidewall too.

There is no way the Bridgestone re980as should've been rated as 50k mile tires. I'm just about to 19kmiles and 2 years and I'm down to 7/32's. I'll be getting a set of the continentals here shortly.

Looks like Tire Rack is suggesting Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 4 ZP in our size....
https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires...omCompare1=yes Fronts are a run flat, where the rears appear to be a normal tire. Interesting.

I would be all over the Michelin's but the run flat is a deal breaker. |

Why's it a deal breaker?

Run flats tend to handle very poorly and/or ride rough. They have one advantage and then sacrifice everything else.
