I did the swap. The trunk closes perfectly. The problem is that the bottom of the lenses protrude out farther than the factory tail lights, so the rear bumper cover doesn't fit back on properly. The corners won't close up all the way and there is a bit of a gap. So a bit of trimming will need to be done to the bumper cover where the 4 tabs are under the lights. Or indeed, replace with a 2019 number cover
The gap between the lenses doesn't bother me, but you can see a couple of those bumper mounting tabs that are now exposed Last edited by Tomfoolery; 05-08-2020 at 09:59 AM. |

You can buy complete tail lights for 16-18 with 2019 style.
As for me, aftermarket one looks much better than original 2019, but still ugly convex style which ruin whole car design

Where can you get the 2019 style tail lights? I reached out to the company that made them and they said they’d be available from the retrofitsource.com, but that was late last year so I figured it just wasn’t going to happen at this point.
