It looks to be a High Country with the dealer installed factory supplied Trail Boss suspension lift...best of both worlds...6.2 & Trail Boss.

That's great...congrats!

Just don't call it a "High Country Trail Boss" cuz it ain't that.

Its a "High Country with Trail Boss suspension added".

If someone buys the 1LE kit from a dealer who installs it on their SS, do they own an SS/1LE or an SS with a suspension kit?

There is more than just the suspension to a 1LE. Trans, diff, wheels, etc.
Some of them even have factory freak motors with 13% more power

Its an SS with the OEM option installed aftermarket by a dealer. The difference is in the origin. 1LE's are born in the factory (save for delivery installed pieces by the dealer during inspection).

I've installed the 1LE package on a 6th gen PDI, it was sent from the factory with the RPO for 1LE and I installed all the components. I can't say for sure if that's the norm as I have only done one, and a coworker did one for a 5th gen. However, IMO to call it a Trail Boss it would have to have that RPO, otherwise it's an add-on.

The 6.2L is night and day. All around performance, towing, etc.. Towing a 20' speedboat or enclosed (3 motorcycle) trailer across the mountains, is no problem. It never even downshifts.

He's now debating on a '19 or '20 High Country and a 6.2L is all he will buy. Amazing truck!

You two have to be joking - an HD to tow a little 20' boat or enclosed with 3 bikes, even the camper is nothing unless it's over 10K lbs.

I tow our camper (28' - 9K lbs), and a 28' enclosed steel frame with my Corvette in it. My 6.2 Denali has no issues with either and knocks down 12mpg while travelling at 70mph. Equalizer hitch is all that is needed.

I thought they were joking too. Your Denali would have no issue with any of that weight. And I sure wouldn't want to deal with a HD truck everyday for that that kind of weight.

North of 10,000 lbs, and towing once a week or more, then I'd do HD.

I'm a Ford truck guy, but a 6.2 in the Trailboss will put it near the top of my list next fall.

Completely agree, and I've owned both the HD Duramax, and two - 6.2s.

Trailboss is now equal to AT4, just depends on which looks better to you. I still can't stand the new mirrors on the body, and I drive a 2019 Silverado for work everyday.

That is literally what we said lol. We were talking about the Silverado now offering best in class towing at 13,400 pounds. We both said that towing 13K with a 1/2 ton is a tall order and if your towing that amount regularly look at an HD lol
