2015 Radio Issues

Good afternoon. Trying to troubleshoot an issue with the radio in my 2015 Camaro. Car is a 2015 Camaro LS with the stock (standard) radio. No Bose system, just the standard radio. It does have a Rockford Fosgate Amp and Sub in the trunk that is wired into the stock system and it was installed about 4 years ago.

Started having issues with XM (started about two months ago). When listening it would "skip" for just a second and then come right back on. Checked connections but problem persisted. Recently it has started to experience a loud "POP" sound and the whole system shuts down and resets itself after about 1 minute. It will do this on XM and FM (don't listen to AM).

What I have tried so far:

Pulled the fuse on the Amp (for the Sub). Still POPS.
Pulled the radio faceplate and radio. Checked all connections. Still POPS.
Checked all speaker wiring. Still POPS.
Checked all fuses. Still POPS.

Some on You Tube say to cut the #18 white wire from the plug between the radio module and the faceplate. I have NOT done this.

Looking for some help/advice from someone who has experienced something similar to this and/or something similar.

Thanks in advance.

Bumping this back up.

I have disconnected the battery for 15 minutes to reset the system which did not work. Hoping someone here may have had a similar experience or some advice on how to troubleshoot.

Prepared to replace the system but it would suck to spend $700.00 or $800.00 and still have the same issues.
