So much for the 550hp estimates the Ford guys were hoping. This thing is definitely going to be rev happy.

and the Z/28 ran a portion of the track in the rain.....of course the Ford boys will NEVER point that out. You can't tell me that didn't zap at least a second or two off the Z/28's pace.

Of course the new Camaro SS isn't going to be pushing the pace of the GT350R. Nobody expects that.

I noticed it on the website also, even though Ford never made it official. Interesting. Plus, no video to back it up.

If they do release a video, it would be pretty interesting to compare where the two cars are at, at the point where the rain soaked track begins in the Z/28 video.

That time was a rumor reported by horsepowerkings. The official time hasn't been released. If it had Ford would have reported it.

I always wondered why the Z/28 didn't do another few runs in better weather. Even watching the lap video with the rain is really impressive though 160mph with the wipers on lol.

That site is not an official page for the Ring. Someone purchased the domain from GoDaddy and then website is actually housed on a US server. Likely someone just posted it up there without fact checking.

That's a rumor.

The z28 was in the rain.

Gm has stated the car runs/is capable of a 7:31.... Even before the 7:32 gt350 rumor came to be.

But either way that's different drivers different day halfway across the world.

Waiting for a same day same track same driver comparison to z28. They will need the r version no doubt.

As for what's next? The bar wasn't set very highly terms of hp and tq. Plenty of choices. Even a hopped up lt1 in a lighter chassis would work.

Bastards. They sure make it look official. I didn't dig into it that much. SO i guess we can't really believe anything on there unless there is onboard video with GPS and a timer.

lol this is the truth of the internet. I look at it as definitely being possible, but until released by Ford....all is rumor.
