It may well be quicker than a stock ZL1...in a straight line. (I believe that it still has a solid axle). So is the existing Ford Mustang GT500, but we already know that, and we are still much happier with the far superior chassis, suspension and IRS of the ZL1. Many other design and comforts are also superior. Also as we already know, pretty much every automotive magazine that performed comparisons of the GT500 to our ZL1s selected ours as the overall best car. I am guessing that the same will happen if they compare us to the Hellcat. I find it flattering that so many very good muscle cars from Ford and Chrysler, and they honestly are good cars in some ways, still want to try to outdo the amazing engineering and overall performance that GM painstakingly put into the ZL1. I can't speak for anyone but myself, but I'm a Camaro person before a straight line drag person. The ZL1 is my only sound choice. And, as we've seen mant C5 members do, it can be modded to run very quick quarter mile times if that's your preference. I see the ZL1 as a very, very, strong performance package, with the potential to run with almost anything on the road if you want to modify it. |

I love the performance app that displays boost, AFR , I/C Temp and IAT all on an easy to read page on the main page. Blows away the stupid 4 gauge pod we have.

Looks like it will be a solid car. Likely quicker than current ZL1s on the drag strip, not likely faster on road courses, but who knows yet. But I agree with what other have said, glad the Chrysler guys are getting a car that puts them in the mix. many have been a bitter bunch for a long time, truly their forums can be fairly negative compared to many Ive read. I would still buy a ZL1 over any other similar offering for a number of reasons, but appearance is one...just love how the ZL1 looks and its stance.

I, for one, luv it! Yeah, the ZL1 handles very well, but I'm a horsepower junkie! My only question is, what will the hellcat weigh? The challenger is already a very heavy car. Look what all that blower stuff added to the weight of the Camaro.

The ZL1 is the road/track star with the mag-ride and excellent balance.
The GT500 wins the drag races. What will the Challenger be aiming for ? |

Looking forward to it. However, Knowing dodge the car is going to cost a mint.
