No track events to date, i think total of 2 autox this year!, production date - no idea, assuming early 2018 - bought the car in May of that year.
First oil pump replaced Aug 2020, no car for almost 50 days.

They had my car for 4 months to rebuild a trans. Could be worse, that being said.. I feel for you. 2 issues of the same kind especially an oil pump would have me heartbroken

It would be interesting to know what revision oil pump was put in the car. If they put in an original release, that would strongly suggest that this pump had a manufacturer defect. I noticed the Check Engine Light (CEL) is on, did this drop in pressure cause that?

I have a MY2021 pulled out of a less thank 5k stock Lt4 just in case, but would still rather have a katech if I ever go out of warranty or tear into engine

Pump on work order from 9/30/2020 is Part No. 12686434, description reads Pump 1.652
Mileage at failure No. 1 -- 22,120 - 2nd pump barely lasted 7,000 miles. Last time around bunch of bearing, bolts, tensioners were replaced. Bottom end was cracked open to inspect for bearing damage - none was found. CEL came ON from "reduced engine power" message on DIC, oil pressure looked fine at the time, but as engine RPM dropped coming off highway, it started to behave erratically ( as shown). As I pulled into dealer and clutched in - low oil pressure showed and i turned it off! When DIC message came on, oil pressure was about 40psi, oil temp about 200*F - by all looks, normal. Radio off, no abnormal noises. Getting fed up w this pattern of failure.

Although I hate to admit it, this means that the newer pumps are not really of much better quality, confirming what Katech_Zach said in this and other threads as well: that they were able to break every version of the oil pump they tested... So unfortunately this seems to be a mishap waiting to happen to some of us. I have a Katech pump in storage just in case.
