Anyone getting compliments or negative remarks on your cars? - Page 35

Went to a dealership to see if they had a new car that I could see in person and a young salesman enthusiastically came up to me to ask me if I was selling my Camaro. I told him that I was possibly replacing another vehicle, to his disappointment. He claimed that he was in the market for a new V8 and we had a discussion about constraints and how the Camaro was ending in 2023. He started to follow me on my way out. I don't know if he was hoping I'd show him the car, but I felt kind of weird so just drove off. I did hang onto the gear a little more than usual to let him hear the LT4.

Oh and earlier as I pulled in, there was a young lady and a salesman sitting under a car port where he was showing her the features of her new red car (both had their heads buried into the owner's manual). They both stopped what they were doing and watched me pull into the customer parking area.

Got another compliment when getting gas yesterday, random older guy in a retired Army hat pulled up at the pump across from mine and commented how nice my Camaro was.

when ever i meet someone with one of those pos s197 mustangs and they try to tell me how good their car is i always point out that a 1976 ford taunus has better suspension

Spray washed it a few weeks back and ended up with three other car guys standing around talking cars

Was at a red light under an overpass in between a mustang and a scat pack. Scat pack started revving then the mustang and I did too. Light turn green and we all accelerated hard. eventually I turned right and they kept going.

with those mustangs all you have to do is go over 90mph or hit a curve then they end up in a ditch

Yeah I still get comments on it, but I'm not the most social person on earth. Its usually at a gas station or doing through a drive through. Last one was just the other day and the guy was talking about how I drove a "bumblebee"....yeah yeah it's yellow and black (which I love btw) but I don't really like being associated with transformers all the time lol

6th day of ownership and I got noticed/thumb's up'ed more times than during my 4 year ownership of Charger 392. I guess so many of them... But then even Widebody with dual stripes isn't getting as much attention. Or people just thinks only douchebags drives them? Granted, my wife gets more "nice car"'s in Charger than me...

GT500 CFTP and my ZL1 today at Cars and Coffee; look which one the dude is checking out... 5 mins later I saw a woman walk up to my car, ignoring the GT500, and take multiple close-up pics of the front. I think it's because there were honestly 40+ Mustangs at this Cars and Coffee, and only a few Camaros, and I was the only 6th gen ZL1 out of 300-400 cars.

I've had this car for 4 years, and have yet to receive a single negative comment, even now that it's kinda loud when I'm on throttle.

There was this old lady filling up next to me at a gas station a few months ago, for example, and while I was fully expecting a complaint when she walked over to my driver side, she was amazed, commenting on how awesome the car looked, with a cheerful glimpse in her eyes... I'm sure she had some fun back in her day

I went to meet with a potential employer a few days ago and got a compliment on my car. I hate to say it but I would prefer a potential employer not see what I'm driving as they tend to make assumptions. Then again, I make the same assumptions when I pull into a company's parking lot. If a potential company can't compensate their workforce enough to buy decent transportation, it's a hard pass.

I get about 1 comment every other day. It never gets old. The most common is "wow thats a nice car" or "I like your car". Getting thumbs up from people when they dont have the chance to say something is common too.
