Can someone please explain to me the reason for these core charges, what possible reason is there for this practice on non remanufacturable parts ? Last edited by DANACO; 11-03-2018 at 10:11 PM. |

Both of these replies seem plausible and perhaps true but when I asked why Ford wanted my tail light back they had no reasonable answer, no answer at all really. The cost of shipping, return trip to a dealer would negate any benefit of recycling and the aftermarket replicating thinking is dubious as well as it’s just too easy and cheap enough to buy any parts and copy them, it would most likely be lucrative enough that those costs would be easily absorbed when selling the new copied parts.
So, I still don’t get it ! |

I ordered my extra set through Becky and got a set of PS4's to go on them.
None of the aftermarket wheels had exact offests and most were designed to fit the regular ZL1 and/or other models so not a perfect fit. OEM just seemed to be the way to go and keep everything matched up. |

You'd have to check in with Becky on that. I'm not sure if she hooked me up or not. I'll check in with her and find out. Shipped to my door and then I got a set of PS4s and TPMS for a second set. No core charge. I just purchased them outright. Edit: she said PM for pricing so she can figure the shipping cost. Price is way better than the one quoted above. |
