Plug for Spoiler Hole?
Ok I searched for this and didn't see anything - I'm guessing no one dared to bring up this option....BUT
For those getting the GM Blade spoiler - wouldn't a body-colored plug be an acceptable, easy to fabricate solution? I recall seeing people with these types of plugs where their dealer-drilled license plate holes were - why not do something like this in a less conspicuous spot on the trunk?

I understand I could do this...wondering why no one else has tried it. Other than it being "cheesy".

some wings like ours cover the factory spoiler holes but most people just swap trunks or have the bodyshop fill them!

What can it hurt to try the body colored plug. It would be cheap and if you like it, who cares what anybody thinks? I mean really, what does it matter?
Or you could probably fill and paint the hole yourself if you got some skills.

You really need to weld in a backing plate/metal before you can fill and paint so it can get a bit expensive. My body shop wanted $500, another guy here got $1200 as a estimate. |
