If you wanted to pick just one single mod that will give you the most power…I would think it would be to just add a cam. Plus that’s fairly easily reversible back to stock if needed. These motors respond to cams incredibly well. E85 would be the next best bang-for-your-buck mod in terms of power. But that requires a fuel system as well

Good luck!

That being said, I wanted to tap into all the knowledge out there on this forum and ask what the first mods you guys would do to it?

My current thoughts on the list are as follows:
1. Flex Fuel Sensor to be able to run E85 and tune
2. Cold Air Intake (Probably RotoFab)
3. Long Tube Headers
4. Cat-back Exhaust
5. Catch Can
6. Factory Replicas FR 41 (Because I don't like the 5-spoke look)

This will be my first FI car, so I am very open to suggestions on paths to go down.

I want the car to be a street monster, but still drivable as my wife will be using it occasionally.

Thanks ahead of time!
Welcome and congrats, The ZL-1 is an amazing platform to build on.

I have developed proven packages that you can do in stages or all at once.

These numbers are above stock.

75 RWHP
125 RWHP
200 RWHP all on pump gas.

The low side fuel system can not support E-85 anything above stock power level and will need a JMS fuel system voltage booster to do that.

I would Skip E and work on the power package.

I owned one from 2012 to 2018 and have built hundreds of ZL-1 since 2012 and CTSV since 2009 with the same engine.

We know this engine inside and out.

Feel free to give us a call 203-753-7223 someone will answer the phone which is rare today.

Ted.

First thing I wanted was a cam. I wanted the car to shake at the stop lights.
