I mounted mine in the trunk. I bought the ZL1 Addon license plate bracket just for fun. So if I do maybe get a ticket, I can tell him I took it off to clean the car or went to a track or some stupid excuse. The ticket is $75 in Texas. Small price to pay for no front tag.

I found a tow mount bracket on e-bay that clears the grill by about 1/2" and mounts the plate up in front of the crash bar, out of the airflow. Fairly light weight and a perfect fit if you gotta have a front license plate.
