Which Rock Guards to use on New SS 1Le??
The wife and I got our 17 SS 1le a few weeks ago and I've been researching these forums/ internet a bit and have read that installing Rock Guards is a good idea, I def agree. I've seen some people mention Zl1addons.com Rock Guards. I've also found through a local Chevy Dealership website, Moritz Chevrolet Fort Worth, they have a list of accessories that include their Rock Guards.
Has anyone tried the GM version Rock Guards? Any ideas how GM brand compares to Zl1addons.com Rock Guards? Attached a screenshot of GM brand w/ cost & part#. Sent from my SS Note8 1le using Tapatalk |

The guards are excellent. They are flawlessly color-matched, and look as if they should have came on the car from the factory. They went on fairly easily, and fit perfectly too. Highly recommended. 👍🏻

I was about to order the ones from Zl1addons before I found these available from GM. I'm going to have to order the front and rear set soon. Thanks Sent from my SS Note8 1le using Tapatalk |

I had the OEM but now I will order the ZL1 addons as I will add the ZL1 side skits and with the OEM’s I have to modify too much.

I also like the ZL1 Addons deluxe guards, but there have been quite a few complaints about how the fronts attach (i.e. you can see the 3M tape edge, fall off after a few months, etc.).

ZL1 addons rock guards provide better coverage than the GM splash guards. Have no problem with them

I've researched the ZL1 Addons deluxe guards a bit more; looks like they now include a clip to help keep the fronts in place. Does anyone know what this new clip attaches to? I didn't see anything on their website about it, unless I missed it?

Mine was held in with a fender liner push pin if that's what your thinking of?

I agree, the ZL1 add ons look like they may protect a bit more, but the look, figment, and fit and finish of the GM ones is awesome. I was willing to take a hair less protection, if that is in fact true, for the look and quality of the GM ones, but I can see that the ZL1 add ons are a fine choice as well.

GM guards. Look better IMO, plus they dont come off in the rain since the tape is tucked under the guard. 10/10. I had both, and the GM stops as much dirt and dust, without seeming like a cheap mud flap.
