10 Speed in SS for 2018?

Anyone think the Camaro SS will get the 10 speed for 2018? i keep hearing that gm will be putting into several models by 2018.

The A10 in an SS will negate my feeling that the car is priced 10% higher than it should be, and get me off my wallet. May not happen in '18 but I'm hoping.

Well if they really do move to put it into the mustangs then ya.. I don't see why they wouldn't drop it in the Camaro SS might not be 18.. Could be 19, but most likely it will go in the vette too.

As a manual guy, I'd be all over that 10 speed! I loved the ZL1 video with it.

I'd have to drive it first. 10 speeds is an awful lot of shifting for the car to constantly have to be doing. I mean an aggressive pass on the highway means going down what, four or five gears?

That is my worry on a transmission with this many gears. The A8 is great, but sometimes annoying with too many gears, 10 might be a bit too much. But I will have to see for myself.

when the 6.2 silverado gets the 10-speed the corvette will too...likely 2018, then in 2019 the rest of the trucks and the SS will get it

It doesn't really work like that.

If it's in 10 and you go WOT it won't shift through all the gears to get to 3 but it will drop to the 3-4 gear pack straight away.

You barely notice the shifting in the automatic now and it'll be the same in the 10 speeds.
