Most of them you see are upgrading to higher models or they bit off more than they could chew. Buy a manual, live with the rear end noise and be happy.

Upgrade. I’ll be selling mine in 2019-20 and getting a ZL1. Waiting to see a refresh and maybe get a peek at the 7th. My SS is awesome. But now that I’m comfortable with it I will be going to a HP kick before the Warranty checks out. Love this car and I plan on having a new one every couple years. Can’t take it with you $$.

Lol yup mine is a manual, luckily rear end noise isn't an issue after initial warm up

I have an auto but also had the rear end noise when cold. Read that it could be eliminated by a rear diff flush or two. Had the dealer do it and it is significantly less. Going to give it a few months and re-do it.

Flush and fill solved it for me.

In regards to the OP, it is just the normal ebb and flow of people owning cars. I would be looking at a ZL1 if I hadn't gotten such a sweet deal on all my mods and Procharger. I basically have a car that is on par with a ZL1 right now and I don't really want to go with the ZL1 1LE due to the harsh ride.

My father-in-law had flush fill done three times. Still does it until it warms up. He's down to just living with it and trading it before the warranty is up for a Vette. We'll see.

There are a lot made, so there are a lot out there. Also, people upgrade models.

The longer you keep a new car the more you lose in depreciation. Sometimes trading up often is better financially than sitting on a vehicle too long while it's value plummets...

The fad has worn off for some, others have out grown them, and others are trying to upgrade.

Honestly, I started looking at Corvettes. I only ever have one person in the car with me, so I am starting to move away from the idea that a rear seat is required.

I'm not selling so much as I'm seeing if I can sell. I would take my car off the market in an instant if I got my shifts improved just slightly & a torque converter tune up or replacement. I do have a 5 year powertrain warranty, so it's not the biggest issue... but you know... new car... I want the new car feel.

Luckily on resale the 5 year powertrain warranty is transferrable without any cost, makes resale reassuring for buyers.
If you have another dealer you can go to you should. My dealer never refuses to fix an issue under warranty. They even replaced my FIFTY floor mats because the piping around the edges was curling up and I bought them from another dealer online. I told them that and he said they were GM and should not do that.
