Ok, reading the article, there is one team running one Camaro inGT4.

That’s the bad news.

GM dropping support for 1 Camaro being raced is smart news.

From the article...something else to add to the rumor mill...lol

"The Chevy Camaro is expected to be put to pasture in the near future, potentially at the end of the 2024 model year, so it makes sense that Chevy would not renew the vehicle’s FIA homologation status."

The Camaro is so non-existent in professional sports car racing that I didn't realize GM was even supporting the car. That being said it also looks like Ford is walking away from the Mustang as well. Their car counts seem to be down as well.

"Going electric, one vehicle at a time"

Chevrolet's new slogan.

Go Mary

Maybe THIS is the reason only TWO cars being raced right now?

“I would not say that GM got an A for how we did the Camaro program from a support perspective,” she said. “We don’t have a parts truck and we’re lacking in some of that kind of stuff."

Sell a computer and give no support, then we'll see how your sales are....

the Camaro isn't dying because of Chevy going ev. it was dying and going to die long before the more immediate mandates for electric. and on top of that, 2 door sport coupes have been retracting in market for quite a while now.

everything being replaced by suv's and trucks and sedans is a trend that would be happening no matter what powers them

By that logic the C8 Corvette is dead in the water. The $25k ADM’s and years of backlog probably don’t represent demand though. Same for the GR86/BRZ. They appear to be collecting dust. Two years of UK allocations were spoken for in 90 minutes. The Stang is entering its 7th generation. There are other reasons the Camaro is dying off.

I’m waiting for Number 3 to jump in and say it’s dying because of poor visibility and lack of trunk space. Played this tune before…

Mary Barra is a left liberal. She can careless on what customers have for opinions. If she did more advertising of her products, instead of working with lefts she would be able to keep up with the big 3. Oh wait GM is 4th. Mary, build vehicles that are competitive not for Joe Biden and his monkey's
