What is Routine Testing/Quality Checks?
My 23 ZL1 vert was built on Tuesday of this week, that is the good news.
Then I received my weekly status update from Chevy: Here is the current status for your 2023 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 order: Your vehicle has been produced, congratulations! It is currently at the plant for quality inspection and now going through routine testing and quality checks to ensure that we are providing you with a world-class vehicle with the highest level of quality. It is important to know that shipping arrangements will take place next and you selling dealership is the best source for additional details on that process. How do I interpret this and has anyone had a similar experience? Trying to figure out what I am in store for in terms of a delay. Dealer can not get an ETA or window sticker. |

Its means what it says w/o needing to be interpreted. Your car has been produced but not ready to be shipped.
What that means and how long is a question for the magic 8 ball that Chevy uses

They pull 5 vehicles per day for a complete quality inspection. If yours was pulled, it will be delivered with approximately 18-20 miles on it. Otherwise it will probably have 3-5 miles on it. Unless they find a problem, it should only take one day. The message you received seems like a canned excuse, but who knows anymore.

What is Routine Testing/Quality Checks?
At this point if they find something, it is probably better to have them address it at the factory then the dealer. Hope this moves along, can't wait to get the car

This explains why when I picked my car up, it had 40 miles on it. I confirmed with my dealer the only time they drove it was for the PDI.
