2018 ZL1 Wants to look like a 1LE - Page 4

Are the skirts and diffuser still painted mosaic black and glossy? Does it look weird with the front all satin?

No more mosaic black up front. I swapped everything over to the 1LE, but the side skirts are still mosaic...I think it looks great, but that’s just me

Agreed it does look great

Did you replace with the 1LE bumper or did you just slot the factory bumper to accept the dive planes?

I had the Dealership where I purchased the car mod the existing bumper/nose. If you decide to do this yourself, you'll have to cut the slots for the Canards/dive planes and the 1LE grill, I think has two additional clips that need to be cut off

I’m not being negative about your ZL1, but wouldn’t it have been a better decision to have bought a ZL1 1LE instead of a regular ZL1 considering the extra money you are spending to make it look like one? I do like the color of yours as it is one of my favorites and it’s your Z to mod you way you want to!

Maybe he wanted to have MagRide instead of the Spool valve. Maybe he bought an 18 and got a great deal and it was better than a 1LE. Maybe they didn't have the color he wanted in a 1LE. Maybe he liked the ZL1 no 1LE wheels better. Who knows but I sometimes wish I would have bought a 1LE myself. I won't do the change because I just like my ZL1 the way it is.

I dont know why its so sacrilege to do this. I myself prefer the ability to have the selectable ride, that was a huge reason for me to get the ZL1.

Few things about that; in ‘18 the 1LE didn’t come in the A10, which I preferred over the M6. Also, I wanted the mag ride suspension. Finally, this one was sitting on the showroom floor and was a TOTAL impulse buy! I happened to be there getting a price from them to purchase one of my trucks and fell in love right on the spot, lol

JD, I didn’t say it was sacrilege with the mods he was doing to his ZL1! It’s his Camaro to mod as he sees fit to and anyone else that wants to mod theirs to their liking! Maybe you should have read my reply more closely before you posted your reply! L8ERBRO answered my question and didn’t take my reply as criticism from me about modding his ZL1!

Anytime you have to qualify.. Im not trying to be NEGATIVE, Im Not trying to be MEAN, You're a nice guy and all BUT!! BUT Wouldn't it be better to buy a 1LE.
