Nice. I pay around 5 bucks for 93 at Costco, half an hour from Southfield.

Do you ever worry about the car never being fully warmed up in those driving conditions?

I have a 1.8 mile trip to work daily. I just take the "long way" a couple times a week. (Joy Ride) Make sure all the moisture gets burned out of the exhaust and such.

VRE, the only train I'll take.

I did initially, but judging by the temp meters, she gets up to temp. Well except the transmission, but for that I do a long, hilly route occasionally.

If I were to move somewhere I'd need the MARC or VRE, I'd simply move out of the region lol

10 years ago we bought a car that was solely used for 5-10 minute drive to work. Basically I told the guy who bought it off me honestly to drive within the city only, don't take it anywhere far. It never died on us, but boy you could tell that engine lived a really hard life.

Perhaps my car feels the same and I will be eating crow. I like poultry, so wouldn't be the worst, or only time.

How? Just curious. We bought a 2015 Impala brand new. It's my wife's car who doesn't drive much and works 2.5 miles from home. The car just turned over 30k miles. It runs and looks like it's brand new. I don't notice any issues at all from all the in town trips. The engine doesn't behave like it's had a really hard life.

Must be nice, here in AZ it's the same as 87, $5.19

I think 91 is $5.99 but I have only been using E for years.

It was a 94 Accord with 150k+ miles. At the time, it was already a 20yr old car or so. It ran really rough, engine would shake and not have much power. My very first car was a clean 70k mile Honda Accord, and it ran butter smooth, so I had a baseline of what it should feel like. I took that 20yr old Honda to my trusted mechanic and everything looked alright. I mean it was a beater at the end of the day, but the previous owner owned it from day one. Only short trips to work it's whole life.
